New RNC Chairman

We have a new Republican National Committee Chairman.  He is Reince Preibus from Wisconsin. I am glad to be rid of Mr. Steele.  He seemed more interested in 'face time' and running up the RNC's debt than anything else.

As I understand it, the Chairman of the RNC's job is more 'behind the scenes'.  I think and hope that Mr. Preibus' first order of business will be to get us out of debt.  This debt in inexcusable.

Then I think his second order of business should be to encourage those who have a chance, to run for President in 2012 (next year).  It is coming up fast.  Then, to stand behind State and Local races on the Republican side.

I think that the Party needs to be more open to including the true Conservatives as well as the Tea Party. That popped up because the Conservatives and others didn't feel like they were being included or heard.  So, Mr. Preibus, please listen to us and consider what we have to say.

May God bless you as you begin your new job.  May you seek His guidance, His wisdom, and most of all, His direction.

May God Bless America.

Arizona

My heart and sympathies go out to those who were injured and killed in the Arizona shooting.  I especially feel a heavy heart over the little girl who was just beginning her life.  To be born on 9/11, such an awful day, and to die on such an awful day, must be more than her parents can bear.  They and everyone else is in my thoughts and prayers and I pray they feel the Lord's presence around them.

I must speak a word about how Congress, particularly the Democrats, are behaving after this incident. Have they forgotten the Constitution?  Have they forgotten the 2nd Amendment?  Making more laws is not going to stop the bad guys from still obtaining guns and other weapons. Get a grip.

May the Lord Bless and Keep Everyone involved in this incident; the injured, the dead, their families, and even those who helped.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!!!

Happy New Year 2011! Isn't it amazing how fast time flies! I pray that this year is better than last year, whatever your situation. I pray the Lord blesses you and yours and that you listen to Him when He speaks to you.
Bless your neighbors and friends. If they are in need, help them if you can. Sometimes they just need someone to listen. Be careful out there! Get out there and change the world!Chis Tomlin: God of thie Cityhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uzDJ6yQVPw

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!  For Christmas, I wanted to share "Silent Night" with you in German.  For most, if not all of my family, it was our native tongue before we came to America.  Enjoy, you know the tune!

<> <> <> <>
DEUTSCH

Music: Franz Xaver Gruber, 1818
Words: Joseph Mohr, 1816/1818

Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht,
Alles schläft; einsam wacht
Nur das traute hochheilige Paar.
Holder Knabe im lockigen Haar,
Schlaf in himmlischer Ruh!
Schlaf in himmlischer Ruh!

Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht,
Hirten erst kundgemacht
Durch der Engel Halleluja,
Tönt es laut von fern und nah:
Christ, der Retter ist da!
Christ, der Retter ist da!

Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht,
Gottes Sohn, o wie lacht
Lieb' aus deinem göttlichen Mund,
Da uns schlägt die rettende Stund'.
Christ, in deiner Geburt!
Christ, in deiner Geburt!

Heute singt man nur die Strophen 1, 6 und 2 (oben) von der originellen Joseph-Mohr-Version (1816).
ENGLISH

Music: Franz Xaver Gruber, 1818
Words: John Freeman Young, 1863

Silent night, holy night
All is calm all is bright
'Round yon virgin Mother and Child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

Silent night, holy night,
Shepherds quake at the sight.
Glories stream from heaven afar,
Heav'nly hosts sing Alleluia;
Christ the Savior is born
Christ the Savior is born

Silent night, holy night,
Son of God, love's pure light.
Radiant beams from Thy holy face,
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth

Today only verses 1, 6 and 2 (above) from the original Joseph Mohr version (1816) are sung.
