Remembering Beirut...25 years later

I apologize for getting this out 2 days late, but wanted to get it out anyways.

25 years ago, on October 23, 1983, The Marine Barracks in Beirut, Lebanon was car-bombed killing about 250 Marines and other military personnel on that fateful day. The Marines attacked were of the 24TH MEU out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Much discussion has been had since then as to whether or not we, the Marines, should have been there in the first place. That can be debated for all eternity. What matters is that we were called to go; we went to do our duty and our fellow Marines died doing that duty. That's what should be remembered. Those Marines and their families.

19 Weeks

Well, it has been 19 weeks (almost 5 months) since the hubby left me. There were days that I just thought I was going to die without him, but I am still here.

I have grown in the Lord and grown personally in these past weeks and I am much stronger than I ever thought I could be. I am continuing on with my life and still working on myself personally and still deepening my relationship with the Lord. I could not have made it with Him, I tell ya that.

Anyway, as I kind of anthem and to say "Hey, I am strong. I am woman. I can make it on my own", here are two songs that speak to that.

OBAMA IS A SOCIALIST

For those of you out there who do not believe that Obama is a Socialist, below is the definition of Socialism and a collage clip of Barack and Michelle Obama stating their wishes for a Socialistic society here in America. As you will read, Socialism was created by Karl Marx and is therefore also Marxist.


If this step is taken, we will be one step closer to Communism as a country and no longer be a Democracy and the free Capitalistic country that we are today. It is a very slippery slope and we could very easily wake up one day in a Socialistic/Marxist society without even realizing that it has happened. Then we will have lost the country that our forefathers intended for us to be when they left England and British rule.

Socialism:

Socialism refers to a broad set of economic theories of social organization advocating state or collective ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods, and the creation of an egalitarian society.[1][2] Modern socialism originated in the late nineteenth-century working class political movement. Karl Marx posited that socialism would be achieved via class struggle and a proletarian revolution which represents the transitional stage between capitalism and communism.[3][4]

Socialists mainly share the belief that capitalism unfairly concentrates power and wealth among a small segment of society that controls capital, and creates an unequal society. All socialists advocate the creation of an egalitarian society, in which wealth and power are distributed more evenly, although there is considerable disagreement among socialists over how, and to what extent this could be achieved.[1]

Socialism is not a discrete philosophy of fixed doctrine and program; its branches advocate a degree of social interventionism and economic rationalization, sometimes opposing each other. Another dividing feature of the socialist movement is the split on how a socialist economy should be established between the reformists and the revolutionaries. Some socialists advocate complete nationalization of the means of production, distribution, and exchange; while others advocate state control of capital within the framework of a market economy. Social democrats propose selective nationalization of key national industries in mixed economies combined with tax-funded welfare programs; Libertarian socialism (which includes Socialist Anarchism and Libertarian Marxism) rejects state control and ownership of the economy altogether and advocates direct collective ownership of the means of production via co-operative workers' councils and workplace democracy.

God help us. Pay attention people! This is happening so fast and so quickly. We are going to lose this great free country if we don't pay attention to what is really being said and what really wants to be done by Obama, should he win this election.

Don't vote for Obama. If you do, this country will pay for it with its life.

Colin Powell Endorses Obama

WOW! I don't really know what to say. I am very, very, very disappointed in Colin Powell's decision to endorse Obama. I don't know what he is thinking.

I cannot believe that a career military man would endorse someone who is a Socialist and Marxist. It goes against everything that Colin Powell stood for in his military career.

I am just in such shock and so disappointed in Colin Powell himself. His decision this morning has caused me to lose a great deal of respect for a man who I once respected greatly.

Shame on you, Colin Powell.

This just emphasizes the importance of each American who is eligible to vote to get out there and vote on Election Day. And I just ask that each one of you pray earnestly before you place that vote, that you are voting for the man the God truly wants you to vote for.

May God watch over our country during these times. May He continue to bless America as He has for so long. And may more Americans come to know God and His love.
