Obama Lies

My hubby found this ariticle and sent it to me. I was certainly interested in it and read it fully. It shows how Obama has lied throughout his campaign and book. Should make people think twice about voting for him. Myself, personally, I don't trust him any further than I could throw him.

If you are interested, educate yourself. This election is more important than many people are realizing for our country. We need to watch who we put in that big white house to run this country. Things could become very bad very quickly if the wrong person is in that office.

Here is the link:

Think long and hard about who you plan to vote for...pray about it. It's SO important.

May God Bless America.

Almost June

Wow! This month has really flown by. It's hard to believe that Sunday is June 1st. The beginning of summer. And my birth month. I will turn another year older towards the end of the month.

This past Saturday I was in the Grandview Memorial Day parade for the Steve Stivers for Congress campaign. Afterwards some of us went to the Asian festival, which was interesting. We had a very good turn out for the parade. I think about 70 people. It was so cool that morning and I was standing there freezing in shorts and a campaign t-shirt. So I moved over from where I was to stand in the sun for warmth. We ended up walking into the sun in the parade and of course in the sun at the Asian festival. Well it was nice and cool and I didn't feel a thing. Got home Saturday afternoon late. Burned so bad. Hubby told me I glowed in the dark!! Its getting better though. Need some sunscreen before 4Th of July! But I enjoyed being in my "element" so to speak. I love politics.

I have decided to step out and participate in something at our new church. It's a Bible study for women that runs on Wednesday nights through the summer starting mid-June. It's a Beth Moore study called:"Stepping Up-A Journey through the Psalms of Ascent". I really didn't want to step out of the crowd, so to speak, so soon at New Life. We just wanted to be "invisible" for a while. But each week they made the announcement, I felt pulled towards it. I have thought about it and prayed about it (its been announced for 4 weeks) and yesterday decided to do it. So, I signed up for it online before I changed my mind. I will miss the first week cause I will be in Kentucky with my family, but after that I will be going. I am both nervous and interested to see how it goes and what I learn.

The book I have been reading is really helping. I like the book, which helps, but it is really helping me realize some things and deal with the emotions of hurts etc., from the past right up to the present. I found out there is now a follow-up book to it, so I plan to get that and read that as well.

My ADD medicine is still working, except it has stopped working earlier in the day. It usually lasts til about 7pm, but now it's stops about 3pm. I get antsy and anxious and fidgety like a 2 year old in church. The shrink told me this would happen. I see him again next week and he will adjust my meds then. I feel good about it all. Have been able to read (love that, cause I love to read!) and do other things that take more concentration. He said everything will be well adjusted and I will be well adjusted by the time school starts Sept. 24Th. He says I should do well in school. I am looking forward to getting back.

Several of my friends have been in the "path" of danger the past week or so, but God has kept them all safe. Two of them have been surrounded by these mid-west tornado outbreaks. The other one is in China and survived the earthquake. He and his wife teach school there. They teach the kids English I think. Anyhow, all friends are safe and sound, thank the Lord.

Well, I guess that's it for now. May right more later in the week. Hope all of you are well.

God Bless.

Memorial Day

On this Memorial Day, I want to say thanks for all those who have served our country. I especially want to thank those families who had a loved one make the ultimate sacrifice for this country.

Our family lost a loved one during the Vietnam War. I think of him and his immediate family on this day.

I also think of the family of the Marine who is on the MIA/POW bracelet that I wear. I hope that some day they find him and are able to bring him home for his final resting place and for his family.

God Bless All of Them. May They Rest in Peace.

Hello Again.

well, the weekend is over and we are into a new week. can you believe monday is Memorial Day and the sunday after that is June 1st? seems like time is just flying by this year. i turn another year older in june. hard to believe.

we went to New Life for church again saturday night. they are doing a series on Esther and i am enjoying it and learning from it too. i think that is where we will go to church for a while. its easy to blend in and not really be noticed unless you want to be, not that the people aren't friendly, they are. but its nice to just blend in and be apart of a group without standing out for a while.

we took a dear friend out for his birthday last night. it was nice to see him again and we had a good time. we went to fridays for dinner. then out for ice cream. tonight we are going out with hubby's family for his sisters birthday. it is today. she has chosen red lobster for her dinner. i love their biscuits.

i have been able to read again which is really nice. however, my ADD medicine is starting to wear off about 3pm instead of 6-7pm. shrink said this would probably happen. it bothers me. i do have my shrinks number if it gets to bad, he said to call him. am off most of medicine hospital had me on and am weaning off last one. it is difficult. i find myself being more jittery even though i take my ADD medicine at 8am. i find myself jittery now and it's only 1130am. i will make it, it's just hard sometimes.

got free tickets for our minor league team for this thursday night. if i can manage it, we will go. i woke up with a bad allergy attack yesterday morning and its making me feel blah. also, i have felt really sore over the weekend again from my surgery. my mom says with them moving all those organs around, it bruises them. plus, moving the muscles around them get stretched etc. the first week i felt like i'd done 100 sit-ups. this weekend, i felt like i'd done 50 again. just sore.

anyhow, hopefully i will feel up to going to the game. especially with free tickets. i love baseball. am a diehard Yankees fan. have been for as long as i can remember. i would like to go new york city and see the Yankees play in person next year for my birthday. its kind of a big one (the birthday). hopefully we will get to do it. just make it a long weekend. i would like to go to one game, the museum of art, and one nice restaurant where we have to dress up. thats it. hubby has been to nyc before for work several years ago. so, he sort of knows he's way around. i do know it costs a fortune to park anywhere, so we will probably use taxis or subway.

my allergies are acting up probably because of where i walk. its a path around a pond surrounded by woods. on the other side of the woods is a river, which you can see through the woods. so friday, i breathed everything in bloom plus the mold from both bodies of water and all the rain we've had. its just that time of year, finally. i didn't think winter would ever be over. it's still cool, only 52 right now, but its supposed to warm up to where our temps are actually supposed to be by the end of the week. that will be nice.

well, i guess thats it for now. sun is out today and they are mowing. i will be sneezing soon. i thought we had rain forecasted for today and tomorrow, but so far just sun. am glad.

ya'll have a great week. God Bless.

SAW THE SUN AGAIN!

thankfully it cleared up and the sun came out today. it wasn't as warm as i would have liked it to be, but it was out and felt wonderful.

walked my 1.2 miles again today while hubby ran. did it in 20minutes 26 seconds. shaved 3 minutes off my time from this past tuesday. got some sun too. it's supposed to finally warm up late next week to normal temps, but i will believe it when i see it.

watched "untraceable" tonight. makes you want to fall off the grid and crawl in a hole. good movie though.

hope everyone has a great weekend.

God bless.

CORRECTION

I have been getting the name of the church we have tried so far wrong. I guess I just kept thinking of the bookstore.

Anyhow, the church's name is NEW LIFE not Lifeway. Just wanted to make that correction.

Have a great day!

Bright, Sunny and Warm too!

It is a bright, sunny, warm day today! What a change. It had been so damp and cold it felt more like fall than spring. Unfortunately, today is supposed to be the bright spot in an otherwise cool and damp week.

Hubby ran after work at the park so I walked the path he was running. I ended up walking 1.2 miles (he ran it twice so he went further), but I thought I did pretty good. I did it in about 23 minutes. Not bad. I can't get back on my bike for 3 more weeks (cause of surgery), plus I need some supplies. I need a bike helmet, a new seat and a bike rack for the car. I have no idea how much the bike rack will cost. The helmet and seat are no big deal.

It was nice walking and at a good clip too. Also gave me a chance to get some sun on this pale white skin. I don't know when I will get a chance this week to walk at the park again. Depends on how much it ends up raining. They are forecasting that by this coming monday our high will only be 59 degrees. ugh. I am anxious for summer to get here and stay here.

Am healing well from surgery. Still somewhat sore inside. Sometimes hurts to wear jeans cause of the one incision by my belly button. But other wise, feeling much better. My back has been bothering me a bit, but I think once I am able to exercise more, that will loosen up.

We went to LifeWay again this past Sunday morning. We liked the Sunday morning service better than the saturday night. However, Hubby would like to attend a saturday night service somewhere so he can run on Sunday morning. The races he has entered are on Sunday mornings also. So we will see. We were going to try Grove City Nazarene, but with gas at $4 a gallon now, thats a long way for us to go for church. We may try Vineyard, but haven't decided on that yet. LifeWay is only 15 minutes from us, so.....

Hubby did something very nice for me last week. On tuesday he called from work and wanted to know if I wanted to go out that night for mothers day. I thought he meant for his mom, but he was talking about ME! Even though I am a mom to a dog instead of a kid, he took me out for a nice dinner. I really appreciated him doing that for me. Meant more to me than he will ever know.

I am feeling better everyday. Had a bout of depression last week, but am feeling much better this week. Head is clearer everyday and both sets of parents say I seem more like myself again. The ADD medicine seems to be working ok. I am off the two meds the hospital had me on that just left me feeling drugged up all the time. Am slowly weaning off last one, but should be off of it soon.

Even my migraines are better. Had two right after the surgery, but thats been it for over a month now. I think changing the birth control and the vitamins have really helped. I gave myself my first depo shot last week. It hurt and bruised a little in the thigh, but it seems to be helping the headaches stay away so thats the big thing.

Got out saturday. Had lunch with a friend and then went craft shopping. It was nice to see her and spend some time with her and also have an afternoon out. And it was a decent day weather wise.

Grandma is doing really well. They are talking about letting her go "home" in about 10 days. She'll actually go to our aunts house. It's amazing. A few weeks ago we thought we were going to be going to her funeral soon and then she wakes up and just keeps getting better. Quite a feat for a 93 year old. Do keep her in your prayers though.

Well, I guess thats it for now. Got a box out to my cousin in Iraq today. Hope he and his guys enjoy what we put in it. And that it arrives safely. Keep him in your prayers also. He tour there isn't up until January 2009.

Talk to ya'll later. If its nice, warm and sunny wherever you are, get out and enjoy it!
